- DUNGEON OF THE DRAGON
- by
- Steve Shelton
-
-
- How you wound up at the mouth of the
-
- dungeon is anybody's guess. Needless
-
- to say you are quite surprised. You
-
- are even more surprised when the
-
- swordsman and the four-headed beast
-
- slay one another not ten feet away.
-
-
- The only exit lies to the east.
-
- Taking the sword along seems to be
-
- the prudent thing to do. After all,
-
- chances are that you are not in Kansas
-
- any more.
-
-
- Right. You are at the beginning of
-
- Steve Shelton's tongue-in-cheek text
-
- adventure game, DUNGEON OF THE DRAGON.
-
- You must enter the dungeon on a
-
- mysterious mission and slowly acquire
-
- the possesions and information needed
-
- to complete the quest. But be
-
- careful-- the strange inhabitants you
-
- must deal with can have a deadly sense
-
- of humor.
-
-
- A TEXT ADVENTURE PRIMER....
-
-
- Like all text adventures, DUNGEON
-
- OF THE DRAGON works by giving you a
-
- printed description of your
-
- surroundings. To interact with the
-
- surroundings, you must type in
-
- commands. For example, if you want to
-
- go east, you would type in "EAST" or
-
- "E" and press RETURN.
-
-
- You may see a list of the commands
-
- and their abbreviations (if
-
- applicable) used in this game at any
-
- time by entering "COM".
-
-
- Also note that you use the command
-
- "USE" when you want to use one of your
-
- possessions to do something with
-
- something you find. For example, if
-
- you want to kill a beast, you would
-
- enter "USE" and a list of your
-
- possesions would be listed. If you
-
- have a sword, you would then enter
-
- "SWORD" when prompted.
-
-
- One last hint-- as with most
-
- adventure games, making a map of the
-
- dungeon's corridors will make things
-
- go much smoother-- and will probably
-
- save your life a time or three.
-
-
- Even so-- life is never TOO simple
-
- in a dragon's lair. But what
-
- would-be dragonslayer would have it
-
- any other way?
